Energy managers of Dnipro learn to work with Energy Monitoring Information System

On August 30, 2016 Dnipro hosted a seminar for energy and facility managers entitled “Monitoring of Energy Consumption Data”. It was organised by NGO “Regional Development and Investments Agency” of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the framework of the project “Energy Efficiency in Municipalities” implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Welcome addresses at the official opening of the seminar were delivered by Mr. Valeriy Bezus, Deputy Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, and Mr. Peter Schmal, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine. The event brought together representatives of the communal enterprises and institutions of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, leading banks and companies, heads of HOAs and energy efficiency experts of the region.

Participants were focused on such issues as budgetary reporting within Energy Monitoring Information System (EMIS), use of EMIS to select energy service projects, as well as analysis of cost-effectiveness for financing energy efficient refurbishment of buildings. In addition, the agenda included an overview of the main errors that occur while working with EMIS and also practical training on entering correct data into the System.
