“Opportunities for integrated urban development to support sustainable development in Ukraine”, Kyiv

The first German-Ukrainian conference on urban development entitled “Opportunities for integrated urban development to support sustainable development in Ukraine” will be held on December 16, 2016 at 09:00 in Kyiv, NSC “Olympiyskyi”, Hall of Champions.

During the event, German and Ukrainian representatives of all levels of government as well as representatives of NGOs and civil society will receive the latest information about the impact that could be produced by an integrated approach to the urban development,  and will have an opportunity to contribute to the exchange of experience and discussion of the best practices in this area. Furthermore, the conference will be highlighted with the award ceremony of “Leipzig prize of integrated urban development in Ukraine”.

The agenda of the conference includes, inter alia, the following issues:

• Integrated urban development policy – a successful urban transformation model
• Awarding the most successful projects of integrated development in Ukrainian cities
• Presentation of the best practices in Ukraine and Germany
• Status and prospects of administrative and legal reform in the field of urban development in Ukraine
