Conference “CHANGES ARE HERE: improving standards with energy efficiency in social infrastructure”, Dnipro

The conference will be held on March 21-22, 2017 in Dnipro at the address: 2 Oleksandra Polia Avenue, 3d floor, assembly hall of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

Organiser: Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the projects of German-Ukrainian cooperation “Energy Efficiency in Municipalities” and “Strengthening Social Infrastructure for Absorption of IDPs” implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine.

The event will bring together representatives of central and regional executive authorities, German Embassy to Ukraine, municipal administrations, research institutions and civil society organisations of the partner cities under both projects, as well as national and international experts and consultants in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable urban development.

Welcome addresses at the official inauguration of the event will be delivered by Mr. Hlib Pryhunov, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mr. Wolfgang Mössinger, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (Dnipro Office), Mr. Serhiy Savchuk, Head of SAEE, Ms, Sabine Müller, Regional Director GIZ Ukraine and Belarus, and representatuive of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine.

During the first day, within the three sessions participants will discuss the experience of implementing the systems of energy management, energy monitoring and benchmarking in the partner cities. Also, presentation of successful results and achievements of the Ukrainian municipalities under the motto “Changes are here!” will take place.
