EUSEW – Conference “The Covenant of Mayors: New Horizons and Opportunities”, Lutsk

International Conference “The Covenant of Mayors: New Horizons and Opportunities” will be held in Lutsk on June 13 – 14, 2016 in the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week.

Ms. Christiana Hageneder, Project Director of “Energy Efficiency in Municipalitites” project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, will deliver a welcome address at the official inauguration of the event.

The conference will gather representatives of central executive authorities, diplomatic missions, donor agencies, international organizations and projects, NGOs, Ukrainian cities – signatories of the Covenant of Mayors and members of the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine, practicing experts and consultants.

Within a number of panel discussions the participants will ponder such issues as challenges for the implementation of energy reforms in Ukraine, energy partnerships and networking for boosting the Covenant of Mayors, CoM Supporting programs and projects in Ukraine, as well as enhancing civil society engagement in the Covenant of Mayors.
