Seminar for HOAs “Energy Efficient House of Future”, Kharkiv

The seminar will be held on January 27 – 28, 2017 on the basis of the Regional Dialogue Platform in Kharkiv. It is organised by Luhansk Regional Office of the Association of Ukrainian Cities with the support of the project “Energy Efficiency in Municipalities” implemented on behalf of the German Government by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Venue: O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy

The event is aimed at raising awareness of HOAs on energy saving issues and studying the advanced experience in the field of energy efficiency for its further dissemination along the territory of Luhansk region.

Agenda of the seminar includes the following issues:

• Novations in legislation in the filed of implementing the multifamily building’s management
• HOAs as a way to improving energy efficiency and energy saving
• The first steps towards energy efficient solutions for a multifamily building
• Instruments for implementing energy-efficient solutions through the state and local programs
• Examples of house owners’ savings resulted from implementing energy efficiency measures
• Sharing experience of the best practices amongst HOAs of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions
• Problematic issues of multifamily building’s management, cost optimization related to the maintenance of common property and public utilities
